Through the study of the live model, this course provides an insight into composition, light, form and colour. Observation and experimentation are essential to learning.
How to interpret the perception of reality so as to be able to retranscribe it through the modelling of forms and movement. Combined with the fundamentals of drawing, students work on the spontaneous gestures required by this technique. Live models and still lifes are a pretext for painting, and the aim is to discover and try to master the different watercolour and ink techniques in order to develop a unique plastic vocabulary; to practise mastering water, its dilution and its effects on the paper, as well as the transparency of the colours, because this is what gives the pigments the lightness and luminosity of a painting.
Material to be provided by the trainee (list communicated at registration).
