Teaching oil painting through live model representation, in order to acquire basic pictorial skills or broaden one’s technique.
Human representation, with its demand for accurate proportions, its appreciation of values and its search for expressiveness, offers an inexhaustible source of possibilities for approaching painting.
Touch, color, drawing, form/counter-form, painted sketches, light, impasto, context: all technical and sensitive aspects are addressed.
The oil technique, with its supple modeling and slow drying, allows you to revisit and correct your study during the posing sessions, improving your practice and your perception of reality.
Painting teaches us to look. This course requires some knowledge of life drawing.
Material to be provided by the student (list communicated at registration).
*Classes will be held during the All Saints’ vacation period.
