Through the study of live models, this workshop teaches participants about composition, light, form, and color. Observation and experimentation are essential to the learning process.
How to interpret the perception of reality in order to transcribe it through the modeling of forms and movement. Combined with the fundamentals of drawing, students work on the spontaneous gestures required by this technique.
Live models and still lifes are a pretext for painting. The aim is to discover and attempt to master the different water-based techniques specific to watercolor and ink in order to nurture and develop a unique artistic vocabulary. Students will practice mastering water, its dilution and its effects on paper, as well as the transparency of colors, as this is what gives pigments the lightness and luminosity of a painting.
Materials to be provided by the student (list provided upon registration).
