Analyze shapes based on live models. Understand the skeletal structure, muscular mechanics, tissues, and joints in order to harmoniously arrange each of the human body’s shapes in relation to one another. This course is for amateurs who have already acquired a good command of drawing.

Three areas of focus: Structuring, through graphic analysis of volumes, muscle mass, and fat. Understanding each of the small volumes, hollows, furrows, folds, and protrusions that make up our bodies, in order to arrange them intelligently and credibly in relation to each other. Nuance: awaken both the eye and the mind to nuances, flows, and what is suspended in order to achieve a certain balance between technique and emotion.

Materials to be provided by the student (list provided upon registration).

*Classes will be suspended during the spring break and will be held on the following public holidays: April 6 and May 25.
The course is taught in French.
