Pass on the fundamental elements of colour while exploring dry techniques (graphite, charcoal, chalk, dry pastel) and wet techniques (ink, coloured pencil, gouache, acrylic) to learn how to create gradations, play with textures, transparency effects, contrasts and superimpositions of colours.
The sessions cover both technical and practical exercises, with a variety of themes such as representing objects, copying from painters, collage, live models, nude or clothed, coloured sketches outside the studio, etc.
Equipment to be provided by the trainee (list given on registration).
