This course will enable us to understand how colour can emerge from the drawing gesture, thanks to the specificity of the pastel and coloured pencil mediums.

We’ll explore drawing as an act that allows us to ‘see’ more clearly, to unfold our sensitive perceptions of the world of colour.

We’ll be moving between different approaches to drawing – line, strokes, superimpositions, overlays – to understand how to make colour exist, awaken it and make it vibrate. This course will be structured by going back and forth between observational drawing (live models, still life and outdoors) and imaginative drawing. It is open to all, with no previous experience required.
