Develop a sense of observation and sensitivity by learning to turn a broad subject into an issue close to home. To support students by providing them with a solid grounding in technical drawing and a body of thought that will be useful to their personal and artistic development.
The question of portraiture will be developed by starting with the individual and gradually moving on to what surrounds him or her, thus broadening the scope of experimentation.
The classes will be divided into 3 parts: the first part will be devoted to discovering images and anecdotes linked to artistic references, which will set the scene for the next two hours; the second part will be devoted to practice and exercises; and finally there will be a review of the session, discussing the work produced and looking ahead to the following week.
Equipment to be provided by the trainee (list given on registration).
*Classes will be suspended during the Christmas holidays and will continue during the winter holidays.
