Based on morphology, the body is apprehended through simple shapes in order to succeed in positioning it in space and finding the right proportions. On this basis, drawing can be developed because a good understanding of volumes in three dimensions allows them to be brought to light. This is done through the subtlety of the contour line, the quality of the treatment of the different volumes and the space around the model. Several techniques are approached (graphite, charcoal, pastel, wash, pen…) so that each student finds his or her tools and develops his or her drawing with artistic and personal qualities. Notions of perspective, morphology, scale and composition are also developed during the week in an individual or collective way. Various poses are proposed. During the quick poses, the aim is to capture the movement spontaneously, during the long poses the construction is corrected and the drawing progressively developed.
Courses are taught in French. Material to be provided by the participant (list communicated at registration).
Break in classes during spring break from April 24 to May 08, 2023.
