The workshop offers a progression from quick sketching to drawing the body’s shape. The aim is to learn a particular drawing technique using graphic writing and then apply it to drawing the body’s shape. The gesture initiated is an opportunity to experiment with a way of observing the body and a means of translating it into plastic form. Quick sketching allows students to familiarize themselves with the gestures of sketching, while long poses provide an opportunity for more in-depth graphic work.

The course is structured around individual and group support, corrections, and demonstrations. This course is an opportunity to practice drawing, enabling students to learn observation and representation techniques while discovering graphic experimentation.

* Classes will be suspended during spring break and will be held on Thursday, May 14.
