The workshop invites students on an artistic journey, a different way of learning, improving, and exploring the representation of the live model by making good use of the senses:

Sight: stimulating the eye to memorize, observe form, structure, distance, light intensity, color, black, and white.

Touch: hold a pencil with varying degrees of pressure to explore the full range of grays, adjusting the touch to apply and blend the charcoal by lightly touching the paper.

Balance: understand body movements and orientation in space, speed, and gravity.

During this course, students will encounter a live model, another person whose personality and posture will enable them to grasp the essence of quick sketching, as well as fleeting movements in dance or longer poses for large-format drawings.

Materials to be provided by the student (list provided upon registration).
*Classes will be suspended during spring break.
The course is taught in French.
