The workshop invites students on an artistic journey, another time for learning, perfecting and exploring the representation of the live model, using the senses to good effect:
Vision: stimulate the eye to memorize, observe form, structure, distance, light intensity, color, black and white.
Touch: hold a pencil with varying degrees of pressure to explore the full range of grays, use the right amount of touch to deposit and diffuse charcoal by brushing the paper.
Balance: understanding body movements and orientation in space, speed and gravity.
During this course, you’ll come into contact with the living model, that other person whose personality and posture enable you to grasp the space of a quick sketch to capture what’s essential, but also a fleeting movement at the turn of a dance or a longer pose for a large format.
Material to be provided by the trainee (list communicated at registration).
*Classes will be interrupted during spring vacation from April 14 to April 27, 2025.
