The workshop offers a progression from quick sketches to body shaping drawings. The aim is to learn a particular drawing technique using a graphic style, and then to apply it to the drawing itself. The gesture initiated is an opportunity to experiment with a way of observing the body and a means of translating it into visual form. Sketching in a short space of time allows students to familiarise themselves with the gestures of sketching, and the long exposure is an opportunity for more in-depth graphic production. The course is structured around individual and group support, corrections and demonstrations. This course is an opportunity to practise drawing, learning observation and representation techniques while discovering graphic experimentation. The three-hour workshop provides an opportunity for in-depth drawing practice.
You will need to bring your own equipment (a list will be sent to you when you register).
