The course focuses on the immediate relationship between the eye and gesture: capturing form. The study of the living model is worked on as a whole, to grasp the unity and coherence of the human body.
Teaching favors rapid poses to avoid concentrating the eye on details, capturing the essential so as not to weigh down the hand’s line.
Water-based techniques such as watercolor, gouache, ink and diluted acrylic are favored for their rapid drying and transparency, making the energy and momentum of the brushstroke visible.
The acquisition of technical skills based on primary colors and their mixtures enables students to learn about chromatic palettes, the components of color and the phenomenon of light as the course progresses.
This workshop provides sufficient knowledge and practice to allow students to paint freely.
All classes are taught in French.
Equipment to be provided by the trainee (list given on registration).
*Classes will be suspended during the Christmas holidays and will continue during the winter holidays.
