This course teaches the theoretical bases of ceramics and introduces students to the various technical processes involved in making ceramic pieces of intermediate size, approximately 50 cm. It includes modelling and glazing clay, as well as an introduction to glazing. It includes clay modelling and colouring, as well as an introduction to glazing on terracotta.
Reproducing a form from nature, interpreting it or inventing it, all projects are accompanied by a builder’s eye for design, a sculptor’s eye for invention and a ceramist’s hand for implementation. Through reflection and imagination, the aim is to create with clay and bring a project to fruition.
