Following on from the introductory course “storyboard: the sketched narrative”, this second part is dedicated to the editing of narrative and drawn forms. We will pursue an experimental work around an aesthetic of doubt, of resourcefulness and of graphic gestures specific to storyboarding, focusing the practices of each person around a singular editorial project.
Publishing will be approached both theoretically and practically: from the history of the fanzine to the techniques of the multiple, each student will acquire autonomy in his or her narrative and editorial approach – from the first intuitions to the railroad to the question of designing a book object.
This course is intended primarily for those who have taken part in the “storyboard: the sketched narrative” course. In order to freely appropriate all the stages of the editorial process and to allow the time necessary for the development of the story and its universe, it is recommended to follow this course over two to three semesters.
Courses are taught in French. Material to be provided by the participant (list communicated at registration).
Break in classes during spring break from April 24 to May 08, 2023.
