Live model drawing in large format
Since the dawn of time, composite creatures have inhabited mythology and folklore across cultures. The metamorphoses between man and animal fascinate us, haunt us and accompany us. Present in fairy tales, mermaids, pegasus and werewolves keep us company from childhood.
At first, it will be a question of understanding the bases of human and animal morphology (the models will be dressed). The book Créatures fantastiques by Jean Baptiste de Panafieu and Camille Renversade as well as examples of composite creatures from the history of art will serve as a support for these explorations. Then, we will put the acquired knowledge at the service of the imagination.
The workshop will end with a personal production in a drawing technique freely chosen by each participant. The aim is to invent and draw a composite creature by combining human and animal morphology.
Courses are taught in French. Material to be provided by the trainee (list communicated at registration).
