What makes drawing a live model so different from drawing a still life? This course is based on the particularity of having a living body in front of you, which is the ideal situation for developing and acquiring the basics of drawing that is also alive. The emphasis is on observation, so that students learn to look at shapes and their relationships, and to make the transition from three to two dimensions. During the course, the specific features of each technique freely chosen by the student are addressed, as well as questions of proportion, foreshortening, the rendering of light and space, and a contemporary artistic approach with reference to the works of today, as well as those of the past.
