This course focuses on observation, so that students can learn to situate a shape among others, simplify it so that they can read it, memorise it and reproduce it by moving from three to two dimensions. During the course, the specific features of each technique freely chosen by the student will be explored, as well as questions of proportion, foreshortening, the rendering of light and space, and contemporary artistic issues, with reference to works of today as well as those of the past.

Students must bring their own equipment (a list will be sent to them when they register).

Courses are taught in French.
