Drawing is not form, it is the way of seeing form” – Edgar Degas
Where does your eye rest? What are you trying to see? What is really important to you when you look at a subject? From still life to life models and life drawing, we will explore different ways of seeing what surrounds us. Drawing is about gesture, and before it is about the hand, it is about the eye and the mind: composition, general appearance, lines of force, anatomical knowledge, morphology of people and things… In this course you will learn all the tools that make observation the strength of your drawing. But the art of drawing is also sensitive work, and so I’ll be guiding you throughout the course so that you learn to bring out what’s going on inside you to enhance the quality of your artistic expression.
Materials provided by the School.
Courses are taught in French.
