On the fringes of comics, think of storyboarding as an autonomous work. A journey through a variety of environments, using fictitious cameras to ‘collect’ clues in order to construct a narrative, with the discovery of numerous books and fanzines revolving around the gestures of storyboarding.

Thinking about drawing as a transitory object and questioning the lightness of rough writing, the first draft, the speed of execution and the liveliness of the line. Experimenting with and integrating scattered notes, multi-directional arrows, indicative pictograms, printed images, etc.

Exploring the temporality created by the embryonic drawings, telling stories that allow readers complete freedom of imagination. Each storyboard is finalised with around ten pages compiled in a collective edition printed at the School itself, of which each participant will receive a copy.

Material to be provided by the trainee (list given on registration).

*Courses will be suspended during the spring holidays from 15 April to 20 April 2024 and the week of 06 to 12 May 2024.
